Today 17 suggested trail routes went up in what is perhaps one of Maine’s most iconic natural treasures, Acadia National Park. The postings were developed in partnership with the National Park Service and Friends of Acadia and represent some of the park’s most well known and popular hikes. Included in this release are…

• Canada Cliff Loop
• Jordan Cliffs Loop
• Giant Slide Loop
• Gorge and A. Murray Young Paths Route
• Gorham Mountain Loop
• Great Head Trail
• North Bubble Loop
• Norumbega Mountain Loop
• Ocean Path
• Pemetic Mountain Loop
• Penobscot and Sargent Mountains Loop
• Perpendicular and Razorback Loop
• Precipice Loop
• Wonderland Trail

We will be continuing to work with the National Park Service and Friends of Acadia to add another dozen by early 2012. These trails postings brings the total trail postings on the site to 235! Take some time and find a new trail to explore near you!
