Happy New Year!

The past 12 months have been huge for Maine Trail Finder. How huge? Consider that on January 1, 2011, we had just over 30 trail postings live on the site, one county represented, and just over 6,000 visitors since the launch of the site; as of January 1, 2012, we have just over 240 trail postings live on the site, all 16 counties represented, and just over 58,000 visitors to the site within the past year.

National recognition was given to our site by American Trails, recognizing it as the best “Trail Finding and Database” website. We worked with a wide range of landowners, non-profits, foundations, and state agencies in order to realize these accomplishments and their contributions are tremendous.

Going forward, expect to see continued and growing partnerships, content, and website expansion. Thank you and all the best for happy trails in 2012!
