Joining the Androscoggin Riverlands State Park Snowshoe Trails and Haystack Mountain Trail that we announced last week, were seven more trails and trail networks bringing the total of trails posting released in the last week to nine!
The trails are all state owned public lands and range north to south from Deboullie Public Reserved Land in the backcountry of northern Aroostook County to Pineland Public Reserved Land in Cumberland County. East to west, the postings ranged from Fort Point State Park along the shores of Penobscot Bay to the Wright Trail in the Mahoosuc Mountain Range of Oxford County.
Dodge Point Public Reserved Land is the only public reserved land in the mid-coast region of Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox, and Waldo Counties. Warren Island State Park, in Waldo County, is Maine Trail Finder's first posting to be accessible only by boat, and Whaleback Shell Midden State Historic Site along the shores of the Dammariscotta River is the first state historic site to go live on the site!
We continue to work with the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands to bring you all the public lands with accessible maintained trails.
Stay tuned!
