Start Planning for National Trails Day!

May 16, 2011

With National Trails Day® just around the corner Saturday, June 4, it is the perfect time to start planning your day. Events are happening all over Maine from York south to Mars Hill north and Norway west to Donnell Pond east.

American Trails Day® was first launched in 1993 by the American Hiking Society (AHS) as a way to celebrate the many benefits trails give us! Find out more about the day by exploring the AHS website, where you will also find a list of registered National Trail Day events for the state of Maine.

So mark your calendar and plan to hit the trail Saturday, June 4th. However, don't feel like you have to wait that long! Check out one of the 86 trails on Maine Trail Finder and get out and explore a trail near you today!
