All dogs must be leashed on the rerouted Hayfield Trail during bobolink nesting season, from May 1st to August 1st. Additionally, the field itself is completely closed to human or dog traffic during this nesting season. Please follow the Maine Trail to access the rest of the trail system, which remains open. Signs and blue markers will be in place if you are unfamiliar with this trail. The Hayfield Trail will reopen in the summer after bobolink have left the fields, likely in late July.
Fuller Farm was acquired by Scarborough Land Trust in 2000 and is a former homestead that included woodlands and fields used for haying and pastureland. The property includes 3,500 feet of frontage on the Nonesuch River, which flows into the Scarborough Marsh. The 70 acres of fields are hayed on an annual basis to provide nesting habitat for birds.
Please note that biking is not allowed on the preserve.

This trail passes through a property that was acquired in part with funds from the Land for Maine’s Future program. For more information about the LMF program and the places it has helped to protect, please visit the LMF webpage.
