Description

This walking path loops around the Peterson athletic fields and provides an access point to an 8.4 mile section the Eastern Trail. The path is crushed stone, and flat making it accessible to those with limited mobility. Near where it connects to the Eastern Trail, the path provides a nice spot for wildlife and bird watching. Other amenities at Peterson Field include three multi-use fields, one Little League regulation-sized baseball field with concession stand, one Little League regulation-sized softball field, one high school regulation-sized softball field, and playground equipment.

Trailhead Information

The park is located on Old Blue Point Road in Scarborough. From US Route 1, turn south to follow ME Route 9/Pine Point Road for 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Old Blue Point Road road (roughly across from the Blue Point School). The entrance to the field and parking area will be on the right shortly thereafter.
