Please join us for a fun day of trail maintenance. We anticipate work to include a combination of clearing winter damage, tread work, lopping, ditching and small debris removal. No previous experience required!
Volunteers will meet at the AMC office at 127 Moosehead Lake Road in Greenville at 9am. Follow ME-15 into Greenville; the office building is located just beyond, and across the street from, the Indian Hill Trading Post.
Please bring lunch, snacks, drinking water, gloves, sunscreen/bug spray, and layers/raingear. You must supply your own loppers, eye protection, and folding handsaws (if you've got them). Please wear sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing for trail work. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled and not rescheduled.
NOTE: We will not be carpooling so be prepared to drive on secondary dirt roads to the trailhead. We urge participants to bring masks and hand sanitizer in the event they are needed.
Trails are an important facility for mental and physical health. Moosehead Trails values the health and safety of all people. Trail maintenance activities are low risk and we feel that we can gather, comply with CDC and state guidelines, and do the necessary work so people can recreate safely on our local trails.
