The Bethel Community Forest is growing! We are hoping to add an additional 532 acres, located on the North Road in Bethel, and want to share the envisioning process with everyone. On the discussion list is are hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing & horseback riding trails, and forest management.
Suggested items to bring/wear:
Be prepared for terrain that climbs gently with some steeper portions. Masks are optional provided 6' social distancing guidelines are followed.
The trailhead is 3.5 miles from the ME-2 bridge; parking is available on the right (heading west on North Road) just after Ellingwood Mt. road. There are two Community Forest signs at the dirt road; just pull in and park in the small field where we'll meet.
