Join us for a reflective walk in nature designed to connect you more deeply with yourself, fellow nature lovers, and the natural world. The intention is that you leave feeling a little more relaxed, grounded, and connected. Over the course of the walk you will enjoy guided mindfulness, silent walking and observing, and paired/group conversation about what we are noticing and experiencing. We will move slowly, soaking in the sights and sounds of the Preserve.
Our facilitator will be Corie Washow, a licensed counselor at Elemental Counseling in Freeport. Corie often takes therapy outdoors, working in natural settings to facilitate understanding, engagement, and healing for her clients, and to promote a reciprocal relationship between them and the natural world.
Please note—our guide Corie is not a naturalist! We will engage all our senses in noticing our surroundings during this walk, but this is not a natural history walk.
