Skyline Farm has recently upgraded its trail system to increase accessibility to horse-drawn carriages and wheelchairs thanks to a generous grant from the Davis Conservation Foundation. Trails represent a variety of landscapes and habitats; fields, woods, hills, wetlands.
We could use 8 to 10 volunteers to help with final finishing work in teams of 2-3 for a couple of hours. Projects include raking in gravel from edges, setting fence and sign posts, clearing and leveling a handicapped parking area, measuring and placing distance markers, and bridge painting.
Wear closed-toe shoes, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and work gloves if you have them. If you have a stone rake, garden rake, or favorite shovel, and bug spray, please bring it. We will end with some ice cream and snacks to celebrate our efforts.
Please RSVP to Jennifer Robbins by email or at (207) 415-5830.
