One of the Second Nature Adventure Challenge hikes, Rumford Whitecap is a lovely 5-mile round-trip hike that offers an open summit with incredible views in all directions. We'll be joining Mahoosuc Land Trust and Western Foothills Land Trust for this morning hike.
Wear layers of clothing (you'll work up a sweat going up but it can be windy on the summit), hiking boots or rugged sneakers, bring plenty of water, and lunch/snacks. You'll have a hiking leader to guide your way.
We'll leave from the Preserve trailhead on the East Andover Road at 9am; email us to arrange for carpooling from Bethel.
The Second Nature Adventure Challenge is a trails challenge that encourages and rewards hikers of all abilities for exploring nine different trails in the Maine West region.
