Join Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust staff for a Walk in the Woods at Cascade Stream Gorge Trail. This Walk in the Woods weekly program is designed to introduce the community to our 32 miles of recreational trails around Rangeley. Bring your family, meet your neighbors, and make some friends as we explore new trails throughout the summer!
This 150-acre property features old rail bed that runs through the property was part of the Rangeley Lakes and Sandy River Railroad, which crossed the dam in Oquossoc and went up to Kennebago Lake.There is a long history of recreational use, including fishing, hunting, and biking. The popular ITS-84 snowmobile trail runs through this property and connects riders to the Village of Oquossoc.
Directions: The Rangeley River parcel is located on ME-16 in Oquossoc and is accessible via Hatchery Road, located behind Oquossoc Grocery.
Put on sturdy shoes, grab a bottle of water and charge your camera! We'll see you at the Trailhead!
