Join the Natural Resources Council of Maine and the Midcoast Conservancy for a hike along the Hidden Knoll Trail in Montville. Local resident and Hills to Sea Trail co-creator Buck O’Herin will lead one of his favorite hikes in the area. The trail has some ups and downs but no big changes in elevation at one time. The distance is three miles. We will see some beautiful and open mature forest with very impressive, large trees. The hike is entirely in the woods.
Meet at the Whitten Hill Trailhead on the Halldale Road in Montville; from there we’ll drive two miles to the start of the hike, which will be on the Hidden Knoll Trail.
