The UMA Outdoor Fitness Trail is a 2.2 mile network of wooded paths. Along the paths are "fitness stops" - monkey bars, pull up bars - that encourage users to exercise every part of the body. The Outdoor Fitness Center is surrounded by beautiful forests adjacent to the Augusta Civic Center.

On a peninsula in the New Meadows River, this trail system winds through coastal forest of pine, spruce, and fir. Trail spurs lead to a former ice pond -- now freshwater marsh -- and vistas overlooking coves, salt marsh, mud flats, and open water.
