These paths loop through a large field with a small pond and contain several benches. It is a popular birding site, and connects Cascade Park on State St with a trail across Mt Hope Ave that leads through the Eastern Maine Community College campus.

The Trail moderately ascends Indian Mountain for 1.5 miles leading to a clearing at the summit that offers views of White Cap, Gulf Hagas, Elephant Mountain, the surrounding ponds, and on a clear day, Katahdin.
