Please join us for a fun day of trail maintenance! Hosted by Moosehead Trails and Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.
We anticipate work to include a combination of clearing winter damage, tread work, lopping, ditching and small debris removal. No previous experience required!
This mountain is rich in fire tower history. Check out the Forest Fire Lookout Association of Maine on Facebook.
Volunteers will meet at the AMC office at 127 Moosehead Lake Road, Greenville ME, at 9am. Follow ME-15 into Greenville. The office is located just beyond and across the street from Indian Hill Trading Post.
Please bring lunch, snacks, drinking water, gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, and layers/raingear; as well as loppers, eye protection, and folding handsaws if you've got them. Please wear sturdy footwear (boots) and appropriate clothing for trail work. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled and not rescheduled.
