Community members and trail users of all ages and abilities are invited to ‘Trek for the Trails’ to raise money to support Loon Echo Land Trust's 30-mile (and growing) trail network in the Lakes Region. All Trek participants will automatically be entered into a raffle for prizes from local businesses.
There are three participation options:
- TREK ANYWHERE - You complete your “Trek” by visiting any LELT preserve in September. That means even a drive up to Hacker’s Hill makes you a Trekker!
- SCAVENGAR HUNT - Visit 4 LELT preserves, and stamp your passport or take a selfie on the trail! All youth who finish the challenge will receive a LELT sticker, a tree cookie medal, and a certificate!
- TRAIL RUN CHALLENGE - Feeling competitive? Up for a challenge? Compete for Strava bragging rights on 3 different trail segments on LELT preserves. Runners will be timed via a Strava Segment on Pleasant Mountain, Bald Pate Mountain Preserve, and Raymond Community Forest. Pick one, two, or all three! Run the segments as many times as you want, top finishers will be determined by Strava results as of 9 pm on Thursday, September 30.
