The Logan Brook lean-to was built 39 years ago, and while this might be young for a human, the sills are showing their age after that many years of exposure to the weather. On June 25, we're looking for half a dozen volunteers to help dig out the existing sills. We'll also fell a couple of trees and prop them up to dry for the summer. Then we'll come back August 27-28 to replace the rotting sill logs with the new logs. It's slow but rewarding work!
It's a 1.3 mile hike with about 950 feet of elevation gain to access the campsite.
Please email campsite@matc.org for meeting date and time; this is a remote work site and a GPS will not get you there.
