About This Event

Trek for the Trails is a month-long virtual event to support Loon Echo Land Trust’s 30 mile (and growing!) trail network in the Lake Region of Maine.

COST:
$20/adult (100% of your registration is a donation!)
Youth 16 and under are free with a registered adult

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1. Trek Anywhere
   You can make your “Trek” by visiting any LELT preserve between September 1st and September 30th. That means even a drive up to Hacker’s Hill makes you a Trekker! (Don't worry if you can't make it to a LELT property in September, you can still donate to support the trails and be entered into the raffle)
   
   New this Year: Find the Loon. Our Loon Mascot will be located at 4 different locations on our Preserves throughout the month of September. The first 10 people to submit a photo of themselves with the Loon in all 4 locations will win a Cotopaxi Fanny Pack courtesy of Ski Hot Ski Shop.
   
   
2. Trail Run Challenge
   Feeling a competitive? Up for a challenge? Compete for Strava bragging rights on 3 Strava segments. ‍Runners will be timed via a Strava segment on Pleasant Mountain, Raymond Community Forest, and Bald Pate Mountain. Pick one, two, or all three!

Trekkers are encouraged to raise money from friends and family to support their Trek and LELT trails! For each $20 raised, Trekkers will earn a raffle ticket to be entered into a raffle for prizes. Trekkers can create a fundraising page when they register for the Trek. **Please note, fundraising is encouraged, but not required for participation**

All trekkers are entered into our raffle to win prizes. Prizes include: 2022-2023 Season's Pass to Shawnee Peak, Bridgton Books Gift Cards, two-night stay at Pleasant Mountain Camping, LELT hats, and more!‍

The 2022 Trek for the Trails is presented by Norway Savings Bank.
