Join Island Heritage Trust (IHT) and the Maine Island Trail Association (MITA) to complete a new trail that circumnavigates Wreck Island in Stonington. Space is limited so registration is required, please read below for more details and information on how to sign up.
IHT and MITA will provide transportation by skiff to the island. There is no dock or facilities on the island so volunteers should be comfortable scrambling in and out of the boats on slick and uneven shoreline. IHT and MITA will have certified sawyers operating chainsaws, so volunteers will assist with the trail clearing using hand tools (tools provided).
