Join us for this special series of guided walks to explore the natural and ecological features at Borestone.
On this leisurely hike we’ll stop to discuss and admire the small wonders of nature that are often overlooked. Sarnacki, an outdoor journalist and naturalist, will share how she’s explored flora, fauna and fungi through her writing and photography.
Aislinn Sarnacki is a registered Maine guide who shares nature through writing, photography and video. She’s the author of three hiking guidebooks, and she’s the host of the Maine Public outdoor TV show “Borealis.” She’s written outdoor-related stories and columns for the Bangor Daily News for over a decade, and she teaches journalism at the University of Maine.
Note: This program starts at the Visitor Center at Sunrise Pond located at the top of the access road. Participants will need to allow time to hike up the steep access road (1.3 miles) prior to the start of the program. Program fee includes the gate admission.
