Blue Hill Heritage Trust is hosting our next volunteer day on Wednesday, June 4th. This will be our first volunteer day of Love Maine Trails Month. We will be over in Brooksville at Ferry Landing Natural Area. Meeting at the Ferry Road parking area.
We will be clipping and pulling invasive multiflora rose bushes on the property. We did this last year, and our goal again this year is to cut more every year and eventually get rid of it on the property.
Please bring plenty of water, boots (recommended) or closed-toed shoes as the property is wet and has lots of woody debris, long sleeves (recommended), and work gloves (leather or cut-proof gloves if you have them is recommended). Blue Hill Heritage Trust will provide all the tools needed.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to come out and participate, this event is open to the public.
If you're interested in attending, please RSVP by emailing stewardship@bluehillheritagetrust.org so we get a sense of participation numbers for the day.
