Join us for a weekend of trail work midday Friday through midday Sunday, or come help for part of the weekend. Volunteers of all levels of experience and physical capabilities are welcome to work on the trails. If you can use the trail system, you can help build and maintain it! In order to receive the $25 overnight rate, volunteers have to log 6-8 hours of work.
Each project provides a new learning experience and opportunity for you or your group to gain new skills while honing the ones you already have. We strive to create a learning environment that benefits the full spectrum of volunteers and encourage folks to take on new challenges.
Some of the opportunities:
-Preserving cedar trail signs with water sealant
-Building or replacing timber bridges
-Cutting back foliage along the trail corridor
-Cleaning yearly build-up from drainages and culverts
-Digging drainage ditches
-Removing blow downs
-Clearing new trail
-Naturalizing and re-vegetating new trail
-Maintaining stone or timber drainage structures
-Mowing back grass or woody vegetation
