The Head Lamp 5K is an Outdoor Campus Community Challenge event hosted by University of Maine's new Outdoor Leadership Program and University of Maine KPE. The race will start at 8 PM behind the New Balance Rec Center on campus. Bring your own headlamp, and be prepared for a 5K race through University trails!
To participate in the Outdoor Campus Community Challenge:
- Download the AORE Campus Challenge App after September 3
- Register your account under the University of Maine
- Get outside — check our events list for ideas!
- Log activities (September 16 to October 13 )by taking and uploading a photo of yourself – you must be in the photo in order to receive points! (You don’t have to include your face.) An outdoor activity is any nature-based activity where you are intentionally engaging with the outdoors for at least 30 minutes.
