Help us get ready for winter! The 3-mile network of cross-country ski trails at Nickerson Tree Farm is an outdoor classroom for local youth, and is also enjoyed by many adults skiers. Maintenance of these trails will include hanging winter trail signs, clearing brush, lopping, and improving trail drainage.
Please bring lunch, water, work gloves, sturdy shoes, sunglasses/sunscreen, warm layers, waterproof/windproof jacket. It is hunting season, so please wear your favorite BLAZE ORANGE hat or vest.
We will meet at the Moosehead Lake Region Visitors’ Center, 480 Moosehead Lake Road, Greenville, ME 04441 (45°25'34.1"N 69°35'31.8"W).
Can’t come for the whole day? Join us for the morning, afternoon, or just an hour—we’ll be happy to see you! All ages welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult. Some snacks will be provided.
Hosted by Forest Society of Maine, Moosehead Trails, and NREC Moosehead.
