Nurture Through Nature Eco Retreat Center in Denmark, Maine is excited to be a part of the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend. We are an off the grid retreat, resting on 33 private mountain-side acres at the base of Pleasant Mountain in the heart of Western Maine’s lakes and mountains region. Our sloped and forested land is gorgeous with private hiking trails, a spring-fed mountain brook and views of the White Mountains.
Experience our award-winning and regionally recognized Finnish wood-fired sauna tucked in the forest; hand~crafted circular and cedar-lined sauna that holds 20 guests near our spring~fed mountain brook. Relax and renew in our spacious, inviting sauna, complete with three windows overlooking the surrounding forest, soft candle light, and an inventive air circulation system allowing deep breathing in of the sweet Eucalyptus-infused steam.
2:30pm to 4pm: self-guided snowshoe/hike (free; 5 pairs of snowshoes available, $5/pair)
4pm to 6pm: community sauna ($15 per person)

Please bring your own hiking poles, water, snacks, bathing suit and bath towel (we have a changing room), and traction for your boots if hiking conditions warrant.
