The beginning of spring for many in Waldo County is the start of the Whitewater Race Season! The canoe race circuit begins with two races hosted by the Waldo County YMCA; the St. George River Race, held each year on the last weekend in March, followed by the Passagassawakeag River Race, held on the first weekend in April.
There are race classes for all ages and experience levels. Dust off your paddles, find a partner or paddle solo, and join the fun!
Preregistration $32/60; day-of registration: $35/70.
