Come enjoy this expanding network of groomed Nordic ski trails, which features classic tracks and space for skate skiers. Snowshoers are welcome as well, but asked to stay off of the groomed portion of the trails. Hikers may visit the trails during the rest of the year.
From the kiosk, there is a 1.2-km (0.75 mi) loop called the Accipiter Alley Trail, which connects across bridges in two spots to the longer Fierce Fisher Trail, a 1.6-km (1 mi) loop. Within the loop are the Bobcat Blaze (0.8 km/0.5 mi), Wolf Chase Loop (1.2 km/0.75 mi), and Raven Tag (0.8 km/0.5 mi) Trails. The trails pass through mixed hardwood and softwood stands and along a lovely stream, with mostly gentle elevation changes.
A newly-built bridge about halfway around the Fierce Fisher Trail connects to additional terrain, including the Meandering Moose Trail and T. Rex Loop (6.1 km/3.8 mi) and Craig's Trail (3.5 km/2.2 mi), which should be skied in a clockwise direction. Note: these trails are shown on the map in their approximate locations.
Additional trails are being restored and added to the network on a regular basis. Please refer to the map at the kiosk to see the most recent updates. Trail grooming conditions can be found by visiting the Friends of a Fierce Chase Facebook page.
Please make a donation in the kiosk for use of the trail system. All donations go toward grooming and maintenance.
