This paved trail near downtown Ellsworth offers a great place to walk pets, stretch your legs on a lunch break, or utilize as a part of a longer running loop around town. It is easily accessed from the high school parking lot. The southern section passes between residential neighborhoods and businesses; the northern section is quieter, passing by woods and wetlands.
The paved, 8-foot wide surface is flat, never exceeding a 2% grade. There are some minor disruptions of the surface in the form of bumps or cracks, but these are primarily along the outside edges of the trail. The trail entrances include bolsters to keep out motorized access, with 3 feet of tread width to pass through them.
