Description

A moderately steep loop path features Wilson Pond, three vernal pools, and over 1,100 feet of undeveloped shoreline. This land was farmed in the 19th century, and then was a wooded pasture and woodlot. The Hemlock Woods Connector Trail segment is 0.4 miles.

Plan Ahead and Prepare
Be prepared for emergencies. Pack extra clothing, food, and water and also a flashlight, first aid and repair kit, matches/fire starters, whistle, signaling mirror, and pocket knife.

Trailhead Information

From Route 133 in Wayne Village, turn south on the Old Winthrop Rd (0.7 miles); turn right on Morrison Heights Rd for 1.4 miles; bear left on Hardscrabble Rd for 1.3 mi. Look for the Kennebec Land Trust sign, parking area, and trailhead on left after passing George’s Rd.
