A one mile trail leads through a delightful woodland and down a steep hill (use caution) to a Kennebec River salt marsh. The trail then hugs the shoreline before heading back up hill to an apple tree, and an earthen dam constructed to create a pond. This ancient farm shows many signs of prior settlement, from stone walls to old road beds, In the spring, naturalized daffodils, myrtle, daylilies and honeysuckle are all signs of human intervention in the landscape.
Please stay on the trail and respect the rights of the private owners.
