Begin your walk of the Kennebec Valley Community College Campus Trail in one of two spots: from the grassy path that leads down from the turn in the campus access road before the library or from the library itself (parking available). The path follows the edge of the field then through the woods to another field and gets noisier as you approach I-95. It then loops back past the power pole training area towards the library. There is a link to the Annex Building from the trail, as well.
For walkers and runners, this is a good workout. For mountain bikers, it's a welcome change from dirt tracks with lots of ups and downs on grass.

From downtown Fairfield, follow Western Avenue/Route 139 about 1 mile; look for KVCC on the right just before Interstate-95.
