Description

Plummer Point is a gem of DRA’s preserve system. Originally a gift to The Nature Conservancy from the Richardson Family, the preserve is now held in trust by the DRA. Several loop options are available and a winter weather cut-off called the West Ridge Trail helps avoid steep slopes in slippery conditions.

Other Information

Access the preserve by walking up the driveway, but please do not proceed beyond the sign marking private property at the tip of the point. The Preserve is open dawn to dusk. No camping or fires permitted. Please do not gather plants, flowers, mosses, or other natural souvenirs and please carry out what you carry in. To prevent erosion, please keep to marked trails, especially in steeper areas.

To protect wildlife and for the sake of other visitors, dogs must be leashed or otherwise under control at all times.

Trail Tips

Plan Ahead and Prepare
Know your limits – it’s okay to turn back. Your home is the ultimate destination, not the summit.

Trailhead Information

From US Route 1 in Damariscotta head south on ME Route 129 for 10.8 miles to South Bristol (on the right as you head south). Park along the road. Please do not block the driveway. The preserve is marked by a standard DRA green and white wooden sign.
