Located on the left, approximately 1 mile down Seal Point Road from its intersection with ME-204. Parking is along the roadside, with space for 3-4 vehicles.

Maps may be available at the trailhead and many trail intersection posts will help guide the way. Many benches along the way invite visitors to take a break and enjoy the quiet of the forest.

The main trail is a wide former logging trail that passes through plantations of red pine. Side trails are narrower and visit more varied terrain. Be prepared for some wet areas, especially on the Swamp Trail between trail intersection posts 3 and 6, which foster some incredible moss lined trails. Between posts 7 and 8, the trail climbs the small Tereas's Hill. Do not be surprised to find some downed trees blocking the trail.

Mountain bikes are allowed on trails, but please do not ride when trails are wet.

Other Information

Please, no motorized vehicles, smoking, or fires. Leave plants and trees as they are and bring out what you bring in.

These beautiful 55 acres of woodland were generously donated to the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine (SWOAM) in July 2005 by members Doug and Bev Coleman. By doing so, they hoped to ensure continuation of their stewardship objective of providing a diversion demonstration working woodlot that employs sustainable forestry practices. In 1990, Doug and Bev donated a conservation easement on the property to the Frenchman Bay Conservancy, which to this day allows sustainable forestry management practices, including timber harvesting.
