This loop trail travels through the upland forest adjacent to vernal pools and the important and fragile wetlands of Beaver Dam Heath. While the forest floor trail surface can be a little soft, it is not wet or unstable. The 0.6 mile trail offers quite a bit of access for someone looking for a scenic, quiet experience on a relatively flat trail with a couple of very short steeper (10%) sections. The tread width is 2-3 feet, depending on maintenance.
