This short but spectacular trail runs from near the shore on Atkins Bay to the summit of historic Cox’s Head, site of Revolutionary War and War of 1812 fortifications. The trail is a scramble over granite ledges with steep drop offs.
The Wilbur Preserve at Cox's Head was donated to the land trust in 2010 by the Rankin family.
Young children should be closely supervised.
