Ash Point Preserve is a beautiful 34-acre nature preserve in Owls Head, Maine. There is a little over one mile of trails on the preserve that wrap along the ocean and out onto a point. Our goal is to make a 0.40-mile accessible trail down to the ocean this summer, and this event is an opportunity for you to help with that!
The goal of this project will be to work on the latter part of the trail toward the ocean, building a boardwalk that will be the second half of the accessible trail. Once the trail is completed, this will give anyone the opportunity to go down to the water to enjoy the stunning views.
We will have all the tools necessary to complete our task that day, but we recommend bringing some work gloves. Parking will be in the lot at Ash Point Preserve, which is easy to find on Google or Apple Maps.
We at Georges River Land Trust are extremely excited to improve the access at Ash Point Preserve and hope you are able to make it!
