Hello, volunteers!
The Morril Stillings Trailhead has been challenging to find since it opened. It blends in and hides a beautiful small property with public trails.
This month's goal is to make it a more welcoming space for visitors to come and explore the bird sanctuary. We will install split rail fencing and, time allowing, relocate the kiosk closer to the parking area. It will be a very physical task but an excellent opportunity to get out and get your hands dirty with your community.
This event involves digging, standing, and carrying up to 40 lbs over uneven terrain. Volunteers are encouraged to wear solid footwear and bring water, insect repellent, and follow additional anti-tick measures.
