We will be doing trail maintenance on two sections of the trail this weekend. Friday will be at the Mars Hill section of the trail, clearing blowdowns, clearing brush from the trail, tidying the shelter, etc.
On Saturday and possibly Sunday, we will be working at the part of the trail on the border with Canada. Last year we rerouted part of the trail there, and we'll be tagging, clearing the trail more, dealing with any blowdowns, and so on.
We will meet at Al's Diner in Mars Hill at 7AM, and grab breakfast before we head out.
Bring sunscreens, bug spray, and rain gear, and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. The border section can be a bit boggy, so an extra pair of dry socks is useful. If you have loppers or mini saws, that would be helpful as well.
