We will carpool to the trailhead in Bodfish Valley, then hike about two miles up to the ledges. There will be excellent views of Lake Onawa and Borestone Mountain. The trail is moderately challenging, we will be walking up and down a steep slope with rocks and roots in our path.
Meet at the Monson A.T. Visitor Center in the Historical Society building on Monson’s Main Street. Please bring sturdy shoes or boots; water, lunch, and snacks; bug repellent and/or head net; extra clothing layers; raincoat. A walking stick or trekking poles are optional but would be helpful.
To sign up, please call the Monson A.T. Visitor Center at (207) 573-0163 or email us so we'll know how many people to expect and can make plans for carpooling. There is a maximum group size of 12 for this event.
Rain date is Saturday, August 3.
