On this Get Out! Nature Walk, volunteer naturalist Karen Herold will lead a program on Winter Adaptions at Bruce Hill.
Bruce Hill is located partly in Cumberland and partly in North Yarmouth. There are two nearly one mile long trails on the property. These trails are open for hiking, walking, running, mountain biking, picnicking and skiing. This property has been protected for its value as a large tract of undeveloped forested land with ecological, aesthetic, and recreational values.
Please park in the lot near the FAA tower at the end of Henry Road and Tower Road.
The event will occur rain or shine. There is no cost, and all ages are welcome to join in.
Get Out! Nature Walks are led by trained master naturalists and skilled volunteers. They occur on the fourth Wednesday of the month (unless indicated otherwise), rain, snow, or shine. Jointly offered by both the Chebeague & Cumberland Land TRust and the Royal River Conservation Trust, the walks take place at preserves in the towns of Chebeague Island, Cumberland, Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, Pownal, New Gloucester, Durham, and anywhere else we decide to roam. For specifics and updates, email us or check out the RRCT or CCLT Facebook pages.
