This short lollipop trail reaches the banks of the upper Little River.
The trail begins by paralleling a driveway and then enters the woods. After crossing a small bridge, the trail divides and makes a short loop. Along one side of the lopp are the upper reaches of the Little River's tidal waters. A round trip walk on the trail is about 0.7 miles.
The Baxter Woods Trail connect to the Wolfe's Neck Center trails through the Whippoorwill Woods to the south. The Whippoorwill Woods trail is 0.7 miles long bewtween Brewer Woods trail and Wolfe's Neck Center trails.

After one mile, bear right onto Flying Point Road. 2 miles down Flying Point Road, or 0.7 miles east of the intersection with Wolfe’s Neck Road, there is a parking lot at the trailhead on the right side of the road. The trailhead is across from a cemetery, and there is a sign for Brewer Woods.
