There are three trails--Mark and Gail Roller Trail, Jeremy's Trail, and Jenne's Trail--that make up this network, but only the Mark and Gail Roller Trail leaves directly from the trust's headquarters. To access the other two trails, walk further up Gravelly Brook Road.
The Mark and Gail Roller Trail is a relatively flat and open trail winding through meadows that in the summer are filled with wildflowers and along the Batson River. The trail provides views of beaver dams and is suitable for a gentle stroll. The trail begin just north of the Emmon’s House near the cemetery and ends behind the barn creating a one mile loop.
Jeremy’s Trail leads down to scenic waterfalls for a relatively short, but rewarding, trip. The Maine Department of Fisheries and Wildlife stocks this area every year with brook trout. In all, it is about a 0.2 mile loop from Jeremy's Trailhead back to the road and a 0.7 mile loop if starting from Trust Headquarters.
Jenne’s Loop is an extension of Jeremy’s Trail that leads further up the Batson River and loops back to the beginning. “Teal Hole” Falls is the site of a historic mill. The loop totals a 0.5 mile loop adding about 0.4 miles to Jeremy's Trail.
KCT trails are not for commercial use. If you are interested in having an organized event on our trails, please contact the trust.
Also, due to the sensitive nature of rare flora and fauna and changing weather conditions, we do not allow motorized vehicles on our trails. Handicapped persons should contact the Trust and we can provide access to a limited portion of the trails.
