Description

This 336-acre property in Penobscot is on the south slope of Wallamatogus Mountain (Togus).

The Togus Trail is a 0.25-mile hiking trail leading from the parking area, then switchbacking up the hillside with multiple sets of stone steps through a mixed hardwood forest. This trail gets you to and from the road systems in the Wallamatogus blueberry fields. The trail is a moderate climb uphill until you reach the edge of the blueberry field.

The Roads, at over 2.25 miles in length, offer a great hike through the Wallamatogus blueberry fields and lead you up to near the top of the mountain, presenting spectacular views of Penobscot Bay, Blue Hill Mountain, nearby coastal islands, and the whole Bagaduce River watershed. These roads are moderate hiking, with some spots being challenging.
